ABOUT ME
Dionel was born and raised in Houston, Texas. For most of his life, he was focused on fitness & wellness. Since high school, Dionel was playing all sports with a focus in cross-country. Through college, he was introduced to boxing & martial arts where he began training professionally. Once he graduated from Shriner University with a degree in Kinesiology , he moved to Boston, MA where he kicked off his career as a professional fitness & wellness coach. After a few years, he moved to Denver, CO where he continued his fitness journey & opened several successful gyms, but quickly realized he was not living up to his highest-self. After a close friend introduced him to music, Dionel found his path. That moment was the catalyst that led him to becoming a Dj + music producer and opened the doors for other forms of self-expression, such as poetry & art. A year after the pandemic hit, he moved back to Texas and found his way to Austin -- the live music capital of the world. His hope is to continue growing as an artist by collaborating and surrounding himself with like-minded people in environments filled with different sounds and art.

DIONEL ALVES IS A PRODUCER AND DJ, CATERING TO THE MELODIC & DEEP HOUSE, TECHNO, AND MINIMAL GENRES OF ELECTRONIC MUSIC
Dionel first began playing the piano then quickly progressed to guitar, drums and harmonica. He has dabbled in many instruments, but found his true form in producing and spinning records. He began performing in Colorado for private events and soon after began opening up for local talent across the US. Music has been an enlightening process for Dionel, as he began performing months into learning the craft. His music influences started with the Houston Underground Hip Hop scene and 80’s electronic/pop. He found both joy and fascination with the assembly of samples, synth leads, kick drums and snares. This eclectic mix would ultimately lead him to a more percussive synth driven dark techno sound. He has produced a handful of electronic songs, ranging from experimental cinematic to hard driving techno. His ability to transition between multiple tracks and build energy has created a space for him in electronic dance music.

DIONEL ALVES IS A DIGITAL ARTIST WITH A FOCUS ON MINIMAL GEOMETRIC ART. HE INCORPORATES A LOT OF PLAYFUL COMPONENTS TO EACH OF HIS PIECES BY USING BRIGHT COLORS, A VARIETY OF LAYERS AND SIMPLE IMAGERY.
Dionel Alves discovered his passion for creating after finding his way to music. Growing up, majority of his focus went into sports and school, with little room for creativity. Once he picked up a pain brush in adulthood, he realized there were no limits to artistic expression and has continued to dive into all different avenues of creating art through music, doodling, digital art & even through poetry. His focus on digital art came more recently with NFTs opening up a new window of opportunity for artist around the world. Dionel has always been fascinated by the digital space, so this transition was an easy one to make. His hope is to use the NFT space to combine all of his passions by creating pieces that incorporate music and art all in one. His dream is to work towards creating immersive art and music experiences virtually and in person.
